In the 2006 war, #Israel dropped more than 4 million cluster bombs on #Lebanon, especially in the final days of the war. The UN reported that up to 1 million of these bomblets failed to explode, turning them into deadly landmines.
• Since the war, these unexploded cluster bombs have killed 46 civilians and injured over 300. At least 30% of these casualties were children, many maimed for life. Women, particularly in rural areas, are also disproportionately affected as they tend to the fields where these bombs are found.
