"Oh look, the Qatar–Türkiye pipeline might finally be a thing... How convenient for Europe!"
What a coincidence. The Syrian regime collapses in a week, and suddenly there’s talk of reviving a long-forgotten pipeline connecting #Qatar ’s gas reserves to Europe via #Türkiye . Who benefits? Not Syria, that’s for sure. The country has been left in ruins, and now its "territorial stability" is framed as a must-have for Western energy security. Guess rebuilding #Syria ’s electricity and #MiddleEast infrastructure is a bonus—if it helps Europe turn down the thermostat on Russian #gas dependency.
Funny how these "freedom pipelines" always seem to flow in one direction: towards profit for #Europe and its allies. Meanwhile, Syrians are left paying the price for wars and foreign "projects." Energy diplomacy, or energy opportunism? You decide.
