I have recently begun testing the @npub1wnwwcv0a8wx0m9stck34ajlwhzuua68ts8mw3kjvspn42dcfyjxs4n95l8desktop and followed my #[0] from my iris’s account.

Here are my initial 3 findings:

1• Verifying your Nostr account using the Nostr directory synced with Twitter may not work. When I attempted to do this with my Damus pubkey from their website, it did not work. Additionally, I inadvertently posted the script to my Damus page which is not visible through the Damus app, only by checking Iris. If you go through Iris, you can see multiple first postings I have. I eventually ended up using the Nostrpurple until I did it through my own domain.

2• The onboarding steps for @damus are a good first step to build awareness. In contrast, the @Iris desktop onboarding process was much faster than Damus to get everything up and running, but this comes at the cost of losing your account. Damus works on giving you keys and backing them up first, while Iris only does it when you go through your settings.

3• It's clear that I am still a novice, but it's also apparent that the first layer of educational material is not sufficient for someone unfamiliar with the technology.

🟣 It's evident that we are still early.
